Cozy houseboat stay in a winter wonderland with an unbeatable Amsterdam location
Great place, awesome location. Host was very nice, flexible with our request for early check in, and responsive. Place felt very like home and it was on a boat! On the smaller side but super cozy and the space was well thought out. We loved it.. happened to be there during a blizzard and the most snow seen in 7 years we heard. Winter wonderland
Fantastic houseboat stay with sauna in a peaceful yet central Amsterdam location
We spent 4 nights on Gerben’s houseboat and it was fantastic.He was very friendly and helped us with our luggage and showed us around. The boat is well located, so that it only takes you a few minutes to head to the city center and still is nicely calm during the night.The houseboat itself is beautifully furnished and even comes with a sauna. An absolute lovely experience - thank you Gerben for having us.
Exceeded expectations in every way
Where to start??? Gerben (and Rodinde) was the ultimate host, the houseboat was incredible, and the location was exceptional. We didn't know what to expect since the property was brand new to VRBO, so you can imagine our surprise and delight that EVERY detail had been thought through. From heated floors to plenty of kitchenware to a lighted mirror in the bathroom (not to mention the fancy Japanese toilet and sauna!), we felt very pampered. For my daughter and me, it was the perfect place to spend a few days and decompress after she returned from Semester at Sea. We had the best time sitting on the deck and waving to boat tours going by! We were also surprised how quiet the neighborhood was despite its proximity to the train station and the heart of the city. We are so grateful to Gerben and Rodinde for helping us create such beautiful memories and will absolutely return one day!
Perfect place to relax
My stay on the houseboat as Gerben’s guest was excellent. It is the perfect place to truly relax for a couple days, which was what I did. The boat is situated in a perfect part of town for easy access to everything. I loved walking the neighborhood. I also enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the afternoon (I had two beautifully sunny days) watching boats pass through the canal. Gerben was a wonderful host. I hope to come again.
